Cacao. One of the worlds most favourite ingredients …especially when it is made into chocolate. Chocolate with a high cacao percentage is scientifically proven to be good for the heart when eaten as part of a balanced diet. This is because it is rich in flavanols, which help to keep blood vessels healthy, lower blood pressure and reduce risk of cardiovascular disease. A study published in the British Medical Journal reported that people who ate the highest level of dark chocolate had the lowest risk of heart disease. 

Raw chocolate is made with un-roasted, minimally processed cacao which means it is likely to contain a high flavanol content. Sweetened with mineral rich coconut sugar and containing no extra fats, emulsifiers or preservatives, I’d choose this chocolate every time. Raw Chocolate has a powerful, deep chocolate taste. I only need a little bit to satisfy my chocolate urge.
