It looks like ice cream, it tastes like ice cream. This delicious treat is rich in potassium, vitamins and minerals with zero refined sugar. Super healthy, easy to make and tasty. Nice! You will need to peel, chop and freeze the bananas for at least 3 hours before making it. A handy tip is to keep a batch of frozen bananas in the freezer at all times so they are ready to be used whenever you have the urge for a delicious frozen pick me up. Sticking a chunk of Raw Chocolate in the top is the ultimate (healthier) indulgence.

Ingredients

3-4 frozen (very ripe) bananas

200 ml milk of your choice (oat milk is mine)

2 pitted dates or a dessert spoon of date/maple syrup (optional)

Handful of ice

To make flavoured Nice Cream…

Chocolate –  1 heaped tablespoon of cacao powder

Mint Chocolate –  1 heaped tablespoon of cacao powder and (literally) 1 drop of peppermint oil

Vanilla – a few drops of vanilla essence

Strawberry – 4-5 fresh strawberries

Method

  1. Place the milk into a Vitamix or high speed blender
  2. Add the frozen banana and any flavour ingredients
  3. Blend until smooth (this may take several minutes depending on your appliance)
  4. If it needs to be more frozen add the ice and blend again
  5. Eat immediately or store in the freezer and remove 20 minutes before serving
